WALLIX announces availability of final WALLIX AdminBastion 3.1
Paris, 25/2/2013: WALLIX, the European leader in Privileged User Management, announces the availability of the final version of its privileged accounts traceability and management solution, Wallix AdminBastion: WAB 3 .1.
For company and organization IT system administrators, this version delivers a number of major improvements designed to make installation, integration and day-to-day operation of the WAB even easier.
The features new to WAB 3.1 include:
Real-time viewing of open RDP and SSH sessions
This feature allows the administrator to comply with “four eyes" regulatory requirements. A user session can be disconnected at any time if actions performed are considered inappropriate by the administrator.
SOAP Web Services support for populating the WAB
The WAB can now be populated with users, accounts and access rights using SOAP-based Web Services. Information can be automatically synchronized between a central Identity & Access Management (IAM) solution and the WAB, drastically reducing the total cost of ownership.
HTML form authentication option (secondary authentication)
90% of Web management consoles are based on a system using HTML form authentication. This new feature uses the WAB's SSO mode to connect to the Web admin consoles.{Users no longer need to know the logons for the access console. They simply use their own WAB login and password, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized connections to the Web administration interfaces.
Secondary SSH key authentication
This new feature enables the WAB to relay the information in a user's SSH private key to the target devices. A WAB can be installed in an existing SSH key authentication infrastructure.
New RDP session recording format
The new format is more efficient using fewer system resources. The WAB supports a much larger number of recorded RDP sessions simultaneously.
